INVESTMENT APPROACH

SLR Investment seeks to generate current income by investing directly and indirectly in senior secured loans of private, middle market companies. On a selective basis, SLRC may make control equity investments in specialty and commercial finance companies whose diversified portfolios primarily consist of senior secured loans.

SLR Capital Partners typically employs a private equity-style approach to its credit underwriting process, with a focus on preservation of capital. Its professionals typically partner with borrowers and their financial sponsors to deliver comprehensive financing solutions while promoting long-term relationships. This approach has enabled SLR to develop meaningful alliances with sponsors and an extensive network of relationships for direct origination of investment opportunities. Senior management is involved in each transaction, providing our clients with timely feedback and a straightforward credit approval process.

SLR manages credit risk by applying a rigorous hands-on underwriting process for each investment. Its comprehensive approach begins with thorough due diligence for all prospective investments and continues with a disciplined monitoring process, which includes ongoing dialogue with company management and sponsors. Our debt investments are diversified and generally range between $10 million and $50 million. SLR Investment concentrates its cash flow investing activities primarily in non-cyclical industries in which our investment professionals have extensive knowledge and experience.

Our equity investments are primarily in niche specialty or commercial finance companies which produce current income and are expected to generate net long-term capital gains.

SLRC's portfolio is highly diversified on a direct and indirect basis across senior secured asset classes, including cash flow, asset-based lending, equipment finance, life science lending, and lender finance investment strategies. The diversified portfolio results in a highly differentiated risk-return profile compared to traditional cash flow-only investment strategies.
